The highlights of the Linde stand at Anuga FoodTec 27-30 March this year will be end-to-end freshness concepts from the manufacturer to the final consumer. These revolve around the intelligent use of food gases for freezing, packaging and transport refrigeration.
Linde will be showcasing its new cryogenic freezer models: the CRYOLINE ® XF spiral freezer and CRYOLINE ® CW multi-purpose freezer. These high-performance models for IQF (“individually quick frozen”) freezing with cryogenic nitrogen (N2) or carbon dioxide (CO2) are the latest two additions to the modular CRYOLINE ® product line.
In addition to its range of tailor-made solutions for modified atmosphere packing (MAP) of food, at Anuga FoodTec Linde will be presenting MAPAX ® LD, a system for package testing. This process – a world first – enables one hundred per cent non-destructive inline testing of the air-tightness of MAP packaging using hydrogen as a detection gas.
In addition, Linde will be providing information on dry ice in certified food quality according to ISO 22000:2005. Applications for the ice – made of solid carbon dioxide and supplied in pellet and nugget form are all shipping and processing steps in which the dry ice comes into direct contact with food, e.g. transport refrigeration, sprinkling of meat and chilling of baked goods and mixers. A further innovative process specially designed for cooling containers in fresh food logistics is SNOWCOOL ®. The cooling effect is likewise based on the sublimation of dry ice snow.
For specialized topics concerning freezing, cooling and packaging with food gases, the Linde experts will also be participating in the “DLG Forums” of the German Agricultural Society at the trade fair.
